Manchester: Nakba commemoration and protest for Jerusalem

Refugee Camp installation for Nakba day and Protest 4 Jerusalem in solidarity with Sheikh Jarrah with Palestinian dance, music, theatre, food and protest.
Stand with the Palestinians being forced out of Sheikh Jarrah village in Jerusalem and stand against the ongoing Nakba in Palestine. This Saturday 15th May, 73rd Anniversary of the 1948 Nakba or ethnic cleansing of Palestine, we will erect a refugee camp in Platt Fields, enjoy Palestinian dabke dance, food, music, drama and poetry and have a live feed from Gaza. We will bring Palestinian perspectives of the Nakba and The Big Ride will arrive en masse on bikes at 12:30pm. We will also have a protest for Jerusalem in solidarity with the latest Palestinian village under threat from Israel’s ethnic cleansing – Sheikh Jarrah.
