Protest the oppression of the Palestinians.

The 15th of May is when Palestinians commemorate the catastrophic massacres and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians by Zionist forces. Zionist militias and Israeli forces started an offensive to ethnically cleanse and eradicate over 500 villages and cities in Palestine, forcing into exile over 750,000 Palestinians and taking over 78% of the land of historic Palestine.

This is what Palestinians call the Nakba.

But it’s not simply historical because the Nakba is an ongoing process of genocide carried out by the apartheid state of Israel. There are numerous laws which discriminate against Palestinians within Israel itself, over 7 million refugees remain stranded across the Middle East, and the people of Gaza and the West Bank remain encircled, starved and repressed. This has only become clearer during the pandemic as Israel denies the Palestinians access to vaccines.
Across the globe people will be demonstrating on this date showing their solidarity with the people of Palestine and their determination to continue fighting until justice is achieved for all Palestinians.

Come to Town Hall on May 15 to commemorate 73 years of resistance, oppose Israeli apartheid, defend the right of return, stop illegal settlements on Palestinian land and end the blockade on Gaza!
